Vintage German Clear Glass Liquor Flask with Red Cross & ERSTE HILFE

This is a vintage clear glass liquor flask with a Red Cross and ERSTE HILFE on the front.  There was another one listed identical to this one only it had "Made in Italy" on the bottom.  This does not.  It sold for .00. It was advertised as WW I-II era.
I know nothing about this one.  It was in hubby's collectables.  It has some kind of mark on the bottom and a No. 4 on the bottom also.  It meas. approx. 8" tall X 3 1/2" at the widest part near the neck. The stopper mechanism works well but, I think there had been a rubber seal on it at one time and there is no seal now.
